Loot found in a hunt is temporary until it reaches a successful purification point. Purified equipment enters your permanent arsenal and can be selected or upgraded for future runs.
Play official videoWhere loot comes from
Weapons, armour, trinkets and consumables can appear from chests, enemies, elites, bosses and mission rewards. Newly found equipment can be worn immediately or stored in reserve when its effect is valuable but its current stats do not fit the run.
What purification does
Purification converts recovered equipment into a permanent unlock. Once added to the arsenal, that equipment expands the loadouts available before future hunts. Unsecured items remain part of the run’s risk and can be lost when the hunt fails.
Rarity versus synergy
Higher rarity improves the statistical ceiling, but a coherent trigger-and-payoff combination can outperform disconnected upgrades. Compare what an item activates, how often that activation occurs and whether the rest of the loadout benefits from it.
Progression in Sanctus Clypeus
- Improve equipment rarity with the hub’s upgrade services.
- Expand the pool of Boons through lore and progression systems.
- Prepare consumables before choosing the next hunt.
- Rebuild the starting loadout around newly purified gear.
Quick answers
What happens to loot when you die?
Gear that has not been secured and purified can be lost with the run.
Can you keep gear for later without equipping it?
Yes. Reserve slots let you carry selected items without replacing the current equipment.
Should I always equip higher rarity gear?
No. Check whether the new item supports the build’s core synergy first.
